Take the guesswork out of making sure your shower is the right temperature - not too hot, and not too cold. The temperature-sensitive thermochromic pigment in this clip changes from dark gray to orange at 88ºF / 31ºC, and from orange to yellow at 113ºF / 45ºC.

I use one of these in my own shower, because my hands don't always register hot or cold quite right. This gives me a quick visual reference without having to risk scalding myself: solid orange is perfect, yellow is too hot.

Use Capricorn's Lava thermochromic PLA for best results.

PLEASE NOTE that ultraviolet light (sunlight) will degrade the colors quickly over time. UV exposure will make the color changes less vibrant and less noticeable, and possibly shift the color temperature too. Not a good solution for bathrooms that get bright, direct sunlight.

Fits all standard 1/2" NPT shower head pipes, which should include nearly every US and Canadian home. Exceptions may be specialty or custom shower installations, international shower pipes, or older homes. To confirm whether this will fit your shower head, wrap a string around the pipe, then carefully measure how much string it takes for one full wrap. If it's 3" or 76mm, this clip will fit. Scale up or down accordingly to fit different pipe sizes.
