My Dyson washing machine is still working every day after 20 odd years. It was a great design which Dyson dropped as it was too expensive to manufacture. The coin traps consist of a threaded clear module with a slide out spout. I copied the original design and redrew it in Onshape. The spout was very fiddly to get working well but I just about got there. If used with the original spout it may work better. I also decided to redesign the trap to make this easier to operate. If you have a 3D printer and a Dyson washing machine you may want to print a spare trap just in case it breaks. I used ABS due to temperature considerations but you may need to seal the inside as 3D prints are sometimes not entirely waterproof. Resin printing may work better. Either way I learnt a lot designing them. Both print with no support flat face down on the bed I bevelled the main thread to allow no support.
