The original 30mm hotend fan was too loud for me.
That's why I designed and printed in PETG an adapter that adapts a 40mm Noctua fan.
It is this fan here: NF-A4x20 5V
Attention - this fan runs with 5V!
So it is mandatory to reduce the voltage from 24V to 5V. I do this with a step-down converter.
Many types are suitable, but I like to use the TME2405S.
This converter is also galvanically isolated.
The fan now operates extremely quietly and has very good airflow due to its 20mm depth.
The adapter does not need supports when printing.
I use neon green PETG from Extruder.
