Toyota Tacoma 05-15 Bed Side compartment NRS Strap or tool Holder

This design replaces the smaller side compartment on Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 models. This model includes a latching door mechanism based off of the latches on the two larger side hatches in the bed and off of @AP_81926 original model for the latch. (I lengthened it and made it printable without supports) This compartment can hold up to 2: 15’ or smaller NRS straps as well as 2: 12‘ or smaller NRS straps. This compartment can also perfectly hold small bundles of paracord or tools.

PRINTING:

I printed the main compartment in two parts to reduce support material. Use the strongest material you have, Ideally Polycarbonate, PETG, ABS, or Carbon Fiber especially for the latch piece. everything should be printed in 20% or higher infill. Latch should be printed with 100% infill.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTILLATION:

Small self tapping screw or short wood screw works to connect the knob to the latch. The two prongs on the Latch straddle the rib on the back of the knob and the holes will line up (See photos). Tight friction fit into side bed cavity (depending on truck). 

Added undivided box
