Is it necessary to drill the frame to pass the wiring?
@Lerk Hi, as far I remember I didn’t wrote to drill it, it is supposed to fit perfectly if you used the pogo I linked.
Oh nevermind you were talking about the frame but this ain’t in this “mod”. No you can drill the deck panel and pass your wire under it but have to check if any electronic there. You can also pass it between the build plate and the extrusion (didn’t want to was scared by temperature but seems to be ok). Or you can follow the extrusion and pass the wire at the end of it. @noneyabizness it is all on my printable for the filter.
Still need to install my fans and replace the Nevermore. Hoping this helps even up the temps in my chamber and on my printbed.
@noneyabizness Nice, you choosed mono color ! Just to let ya know, another user told me the center part with fan had no place for wires, since i only remixed and used the v8 from the autor, i checked and the v8 has no room for wires, so i updated that piece with the v6.stp that was ok. Depending when you DLed files, you might need to reprint just the central part with fan (file on my printable is now ok). That was the part i remixed but never printed (remixed it after i printed the original and saw there was not enough deph in the hole to fit pogo correctly, was missing few millimeters that i removed with a scalpel).
do the center housings not need to be reprinted?
@LukeN_560539 Hi what do you mean ? You can use the one one from original creator but you’ll have to remove 1 mm in with a small cutter to have the pogo fitting perfectly since the original hole measures 4mm depth and the pogo connector 5 mm. That’s the only one thing I changed on it. (edited)
What do you mean by napkin? also, to confirm, do I need 3 of the pogos you list from Aliexpress? Looking to replace my nevermore as it doesn't appear to be working well and I've got a cool spot on my bed where it sits.
@noneyabizness Hi I should have said bath towel instead of napkin. One of a cheap solution to have a “better insulation” of the enclosure is to put a bath towel on your printer, this way it heats a bit faster and also it raises the max temperature of it about 5 to 10 degrees or so. Anyway it ain’t directly related with the filter. To answer your second question, if you want to use side and center fan as on my pics you will have to buy 3 pogos (I would buy 4 to have one in spare in case of). You should check my others prints like my JST hub or also the piece I designed to go trough the 2020 extrusion. Good printing.
