Because in a case every millimeter counts! Although for an outside-enclosure mount it can also help.
Shorter, about 6mm than the stock LCD cover. This works well for my case (pun intended, maybe). I definitely got closure from this (pun intended, probably). I made sure the bed in its frontmost position does not cross over the front of the LCD cover (see second image) so as long as the door of your enclosure closes properly, you're good to go. Disclaimer: Do check it though for yourself in a test! Move your bed all the way to the front and do a visual from the side ;)
All silliness aside; the LCD cover is not just functional but also pretty, with 4 variations so you can pick your favorite. I also updated the chamfers to be more…modern? Centered the hole for the knob, and redesigned the reset button cutout. I like it, I hope you do too.
Variations to choose from:
So there's 4 versions; let me know which you went for!
Can print in PETG but PLA should work as long as you don't let the case get too hot. Disclaimer: use PETG when in doubt.
Other than that, default print settings should be fine.
