This is a basic shim/packer in 1, 3 and 5mm thicknesses that can be used to correct for z axis extrusions that aren't parallel on the Sovol SV04. For reference my z axis extrusions were 4mm closer together at the bottom than at the top.
The first sign that something wasn't right were severely squished first few layers that kind of looked like over extrusion, after measuring the actual distance travelled after requested 5mm of z travel I found that it was only moving 4mm when close to the bed but exactly 5mm at the top. This led me to check the if the z extrusions were parallel which of course they were not, another sign was that no matter how the eccentric nuts were adjusted on the z axis wheels there was always one wheel on each side that was free spinning.
This was printed in PETG at 100% infill but I think any relatively rigid material (PLA etc.) would work fine as this part of the printer doesn't get hot. The top hole was left open to allow the shim/packer to be installed without completing removing one of the bolts. .step file included for the 5mm shim in-case you needed to adjust for anything.
Hopefully this helps somebody one day, it was very frustrating until fixed and now prints great!
P.s. Apologies that the part doesn't stand out particularly well against the extrusions in the photo, it was printed in black…
