I was getting tired of carrying around bulky RFID fobs on my key ring so I designed one that would be flat and could sit easily along side of other keys.
You will need the RFID inserts and the ability to program them (or the ability to extract the coil and transfer them.. not recommended unless you know what you are doing). This one is built around 25mm tag stickers but the model if fully parameterized so you can tweak it to be bigger, smaller, change the keyring slot, etc.
By default the fob is 2mm thick with 1mm inset for the tag. You can tweak the settings to have a fully incased RFID tag. The teal one in the pictures was printed using fob_height = 3mm
, tag_inset_depth = 1mm
, and tag_inset_offset = 1mm
. Altogether these create a 1mm high gap in the model of the tag radius so you will need to insert a pause when slicing so that you can insert the tag.
Other requirements:
Alternately, you can buy pre-programmed tags when you can add to your access/reader system.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
