I have been riding with Speedplay X pedals for a long time. Sometimes changing shoes is annoying, so I took an old set of cleats and made these platforms to fit. Easy-peasy to ride in street shoes!
The square loops at the end allow the pair of platforms be hung with a 1-in wide hook & loop tie. The hook & loop tie I use doubles as a pant leg strap for when I ride between buildings at work. Mounts perfectly on my 4-in DWV PVC toolbox on my Vision R40 recumbent.
Requires eight M4X15-mm flat-head screws and eight M4 nuts. Note that these are longer screws than you use for cleat mounting to the adapter plates. As shown are 92125A104 and 91828A231
Material, layer height, and fill percentage is flexible. Support is not required.
Print as shown is Hatchbox ABS in neon green. 0.35-mm layer height 50% fill. These have a lot of miles on them (mostly as passengers, just-in-case), and quite a few drops. They are pretty robust, though the outer ridge is chipped off in places from getting dropped.
