Design

This is a very special part for Airstream's Bambi 16 LPG compartment using DIN LPG bottles.

The compartment allows us to store everything we need when visiting a dumping station (fresh/grey/black) plus some other accessories we need outside. The space made available is roughly that of one of the 34qt / 32l boxes that come with the Bambi (not sure this is a dealer thing or standard).

The STL files provided will require a big printer like the Prusa XL to be used “as is”.

Printing

Designed to be printed using a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.25mm layers, PETG

Print StorageLeft and StorageRight with the bottom down and without any supports. Print StorageCenter with the bottom down and “Support in built plate only”. The lids (with are actually the same for the left and right side) are printed top down with no support. For the center part, you may want to add extra infill (100%) around the holes so the screws do not break the PETG when added.

Make sure you have a PETG and print temperatures making a good layer adhesion. Large prints like this can show layer de-lamination otherwise. Using a brim for the Storage* parts is a good idea too.

Assembly

The three storage parts are connected with 16 M4x20 screws. Do not tighten the screws too much. Firmly, but not brutal. :-)
