Original Prusa Spool Holder Remix

Features

• Easy to print, easy to install
• Works very well with cardboard spool
• Simple, no bearings, just two PTFE tubes
• Slides over the Spool Holder for the Original Prusa Enclosure
• Slides over the Spool Holder for the Original Prusa Mk3 / MK4

Print Instructions

• Use Default Prusa Slicer 0.30mm Draft Print Settings
• Filament : PLA, PETG
• Brim : recommended
• Infill : Gyroid 20%
• Perimeters : 3

Spool Holder Assembly

• Insert the PTFE tubes into the Prusa Spool Holder Add-On
• Slide the Add-On onto the Original Prusa Spool Holder (roller part)
• Insert the new assembly on the Original Prusa Spool Holder (support part)
• Rotate the Prusa Spool Holder Add-On until the PTFE tubes are facing up

Be advised 

@Spacekoaster made me realize that if you use Prusament, there is a small notch in the spool that prevents it from spinning smoothly.  I didn't realized this because i don't use Prusament as much :-(

I don't think this will affect print quality, but just in case, i designed a ring that fits into the middle of the Prusament's spool in hopes of minimizing the bumping effects.

And if you don't want to print and use rings when you print with Prusament,  you can temporarily unscrew the spool holder and screw it back with the Add-On and PTFE tubes facing down

• Assembly
  • Recommended using PETG for the ring
  • Position the ring as shown in the picture
    • Slide the notch into position leaving the rest of the ring at an angle
  • Flip the spool over and push
  • Repeat for the other side
