Emokeys

Meet Emokeys, a macropad for typing emoji. Featuring 9 OLED displays that allow an infinite library of colorful characters, plus there's Discord mode where you can even input custom stickers and animated GIFs on your server!

Parts List:

• x12 Cherry MX Brown Keyswitches
• x4 10k Ω Resistors
• x12 1N4148 Diodes
• x9 RGB OLED Displays
• x1 Arduino Due
• x1 Micro USB Cables

Instructions:

1. Print all the pieces. When loading into the slicer, the files may appear smaller. If so, scale it up to 1000%.
2. You will need to print one of each except for Keycap Plate and Keycap Cover which need 9 each.
3. After printing “Graphics Layer 1”, leave the print on the build plate, change the filament color, and then proceed to print “Keys Layer 2”.
4. Pop the keyswitches into Upper.
5. Solder the wires as instructed in the circuit diagram.
6. Install Unicode Hex Input keyboard on your computer.
7. Modify variables at the top of EMOKEYS.ino code and upload onto the Arduino Due Native USB port.
8. Run getEmojiBitmaps.py and getCustomBitmaps.py to download relevant emoji data.
9. Plug in the Arduino Due and let it run!
