Anchor

It's a shelf/wall support anchor, and it is stronk.

12/15/18/22/25/30/40mm wide (your choice!), and covers almost the entire build plate of an mk3s. 4 mounting holes for 4mm screws.

Components

  • Printed Anchor (suggested 2 for a complete shelf)
    • with tapered holes or straight holes (see photos)
      • + 4x 4mm wood screws per anchor
      • + 4x metal washer per anchor (recommended)
  • Optional: Printed Plank/shelf mounts (suggested 2 per anchor)
    • + 2x 3mm wood screw per shelf mount
  • For the middle hole (especially with the wider anchors, 25+mm wide anchors):
    • flexible screw driver
    • allen key with the correct drive (philips usually, yes they exist :))
    • ratched to hex shaft, then use a hex shaft with correct drive
    • although the anchor will also work if you dont put a screw in it

Printing Instructions

Anchor:

  • 0.20mm layers
  • 18% or more rectilinear infill
  • 2+ perimeters

Shelf mount:

  • Same printing settings
  • See which of the 3 supplied models works best, I included 3 different margins.

Mounting instructions

Add metal washer/ring between screw and anchor when mounting for nice distribution of force. Otherwise (especially if you use a default wood screw) you might end up cracking the anchor somewhat.

The middle hole might require a flexible screw driver to properly tighten, or else you can use the smaller versions of 10mm or 20mm wide I included.

Many holes to save filament, but also so you can add stuff on it later. Also I'm planning on attaching a rope from the ceiling to secure stuff I put on here (mostly long bars/planks/rods)

Updates

Added plank mounts for 4mm screws (flat-head), and added 3 variations with margins for the mount.
