This is a contraption to assist in feeding solder when making multiple joints.  It lets more solder be advanced with minimal movement or effort to reposition.

A 3d printed hollow tube forms the base and with a wire ferrule connection at the end for a metal blunt tip near the soldering iron.  The body has a cut away area to expose the solder allowing it to be pushed forward by just the thumb and two contours to allow holding it like a pencil.  Original design tried using a leur-lock syringe tip but solder would snag up.  The wire ferrule terminal might need to be super glued into place but provides snag free feeding.

Funnel version is designed for a conventional solder spool holder on benchtop.  More solder can be pulled from the spool by holding solder secure in the tube with thumb while pulling the whole contraption to get more slack.  Rounded funnel design prevents kinks in the solder from causing snags while feeding.

Spool version includes a self contained mini bobbin to eliminate teether to the main solder spool holder.  It has a 3mm hex so that drill can be used to wind solder onto bobbin.  Resin design files have a M10x1.5 threaded connection between the solder feeder and the spool holder.  An FDM version without threads is provided to glue the two parts together instead. An M3 - 20mm long screw is used for the bobbin shaft.  The resin print has integral threads modeled.  The FDM version has option for threads or heat set insert (Ø5mm x 3mm).  The bobbin for the FDM is designed to print two halves and glue together, slide it onto a 3mm allen wrench to keep it aligned.

Designed in Fusion360.  Prints okay with FDM in vertical orientation.  Prints better with resin, 30 degree angle or so from bed.

Kit for ferrules or just ferrules.
