The serial bot wasn't producing so I made my own to fit a neat little spot between braces on my v0. I figured other people may want it as well.

I went for something subtle in black. The length is designed for the gap I had. I have also included a blank 1515 cover. This cover could be printed vertically or horizontally depending on where you want the strength. You can also make it longer in the slicer to cover up extrusion gaps.

Use the Fusion 360 file (you can get a free version) and edit the sketch/text. Then click finish on the sketch to update your model which you can then export as a STL. Or… Simply do a sketch on the part from the Step file and place your font on there. I went for OpenSans.

You could also do a multi-material print easily If you have a multi-material printer then you know what you're doing. If you don't then you can still achieve this either with a colour change layer (easiest). The harder way is you can extrude your letters as one layer thick, export as a combined part with the main body included. Do a split to parts in your slicer. Do the first print without the main body, leave the print on the bed and do your second print with only the main body. It isn't so hard once you've done it once. But make sure Z-hop is enabled. I'd say this is a good model to practice with as it doesn't use much time or filament.

FYI: I'm using makerbeamXL extrusions. If you find it too tight or too loose, just scale up/down the width of the object by a few percent.
