I didn't have luck getting belt tension set consistently with other methods or belt tension designs. I designed this model using a cheap test indicator to measure the flex on the belt.
The contact points are glued in place to make it easier to print. The two bases are pinned using a nail. A Ø10mm x 18mm spring from an assortment was used for clamping force. M3 screw used to secure the test indicator in the dovetail groove.
The grooved contact points fit a 6mm wide belt nicely. The smooth contacts are easier to get onto the belt but let the tool slide around too much.
