I created this model to have a pretty storage for towels in the kitchen. It shares a base design with the paper towel holder seen next to it in one of the pictures.
The design is composed of the basket and the 4 feet:
- The basket is the main part of the print, it has a lot of bridges. If your printer handles bridges well you can print it without supports like I did on an X1C. There were some sagging filaments under the bridges that I fixed by flipping the basket over and using a heat gun to merge them back in the bridge, or they can be cut away with a knife. You may also prefer to print this using manually placed supports to break up longer bridges, and using the strong tree style and limiting supports to be on the build plate only.
- I recommend printing the 4 feet upside down using classic supports. The feet have an orientation and should be a snug fit. The feet have holes to insert self-adhesive 3/8 in bumpers and prevent slipping.
Printing with PLA should be enough. The version pictured uses Bambulab silk PLA copper.
This model can be scaled up but I wouldn't recommend scaling it down significantly, the struts are thin already.
