Tired of having to swap 3V coin cell batteries on your Segway X2/i2 remote?

This design converts the Segway InfoKey to a 1200mAh lipo battery with 500mA USB-C and QI wiress charging.

  • Takes 1h15m to print on the MK4 with InputShaping
  • The internals are simple components from Adafruit. It does require some soldering.
  • Everything is fitting tightly and fixed in place with superglue or epoxy
  • Full charge is around 2 Hrs.
  • Cover the PCBs with epoxy or glue for better weather resistance
  • Lanyard Hole

There is a LED indicating status

  • RED            Charging
  • GREEN      Fully Charged
  • RED+GREEN         Battery Error

Printing:

There are two passes:

  • Body and lid - Solid filament
  • Lens - Transparent filament for the LED Lens/lightpipe

I used Prusament PETG with my MK4 with Input shaping, 0.2mm layer height.

For body and lid: Organic automatic paint on Supports (under the ring bridge and the usb-c connector opening)
I used 40% infill, 3 perimiters, except bottom layer 1 perimeter for better QI logo.

For lens I used Transparent PETG, 100% infill, concentric, no support, lens top facing plate.
