Made to fit the DEWALT TSTAK Tough Case/Tool Box, 8-Compartment (DWAN2190)
This DEWALT storage container needed better divider configurations, but the dividers are not sold anywhere. I took cdelhousse's divider, tweaked the dimensions a little to get a nice snug fit. Then added dovetails to match the outer wall dovetails of the case. This new divider fits nicely horizontally (left/right) in the case. Anything using the top/bottom dovetails (vertically) needs a couple extra millimeters. So a new divider with dovetails was created for vertical configurations. Take note of which end has a larger ‘half-dovetail' on the sides. This goes closest to the top or bottom wall.
If you just need the standard thin dividers, I've modeled this too. The standard length is 74.65mm, but if you are going to use them vertically along the top/bottom walls, you should use the 76.65mm length. (This is shown as a green divider in the pics)
I don't have any fancy STEP files for you to modify, but I am including my Sketchup files. You may lengthen or shorten the dividers to your liking, but do not just use the scaling option in your slicer as this will distort the dovetails. TIP: Cut or expand these dividers by 11.65mm increments. And if modifying the ‘Double Dovetail - Vertical’ divider, you will want to cut/expand starting from the smaller 'half-dovetail’ end.
Another tip: Depending on your printer calibration, a few passes with a triangular file may be needed to get the ‘Vertical Double Dovetail Divider’ to fit into the horizontal divider. This only applies to the ‘smaller half-dovetail’ end of the divider, as everything else should have a nice fit.
The author remixed this model.
