Three jigs for making quick, repeatable cuts for your BenchCrafted Roubo build.
These are for the US units (non-metric) plans. Your stock should be 15/16" x 1-1/4" x 6-5/8".
There is a jig for the shoulder cut (15°) and another for the "pad" where the spring is attached. There is no jig for the long, length-wise cut since that's straight and just requires a fence and a stop. I made that cut first, then used the should jig to finish separating the offcut.
Tightbond II doesn't appear to stick to PLA at all, which makes the glue-up/clamping jig very easy to use. Dry fit your pieces into the jig to ensure nothing needs to be trimmed. Apply glue to the dog, set the spring into the jig, then press the dog into the jig. Tap the dog into place if it's tight. Clamp and allow to cure for at least an hour.
To remove the dog from the jig, place it against the side of a bench and bring it down, lightly tapping the edge of the jig up and off. You shouldn't need to do any prying, and it should only take two or three light taps. See the photo for example.
