I improved a ‘Voron 0.2 shielded LED bar for Daylight on a matchstick v2.1 by RZT’ by @C0co_838112

This is a remix of a version that can be printed on Voron0 bed (you will need to rotate the model by 45dgr)

Original Daylight LED Stick:
https://github.com/VoronDesign/Voron-Hardware/tree/master/Daylight
Version on my photos is with additional switch in the middle. Bought from Aliexpress
In files there is a version for original stick without a switch too

---

My version is:

  • using less filament (walls are thinner and with more consistent thickness)
  • holding 1515 extrusion better
  • using less space (it's closer to side panels than to print space)
  • diffusing the light (optional)
  • lights more space of lower printer parts (optional)
  • using more common M3x8 screws instead of M3x12
  • with a bigger hole for a switch part (in the middle)
  • with much smaller files
  • with version for a stick without a switch

Aditionally I made an extender for a switch (may need of glueing; I just heated it up and pushed it in and it is holding for now)
It is now easier to turn it on/off/half

Bracket clip (LEDshield_BRACKET_NEW) is made on base of my
Cable clips for 1515 extrusion

---

Files list (see render):

  1. LEDshield-angled
  2. LEDshield-angled-diffused - recommended
  3. LEDshield_rmx - this is the closest to original design by C0co_838112
  4. LEDshield-diffused
  5. LEDshield_SWITCH - used to extend the switch
  6. LEDshield_BRACKET_NEW - print 2 for each LED stick, use with M3x8 screws

1-4 is also in NO-SWITCH version

You can use just a brackets if you don't need a shielded case
Just add a washers and M3 nuts on the other side to hold the LED stick

---

Printed with ABS and Transparent PET-g (4 first layers of 0.2mm of ‘diffused’ version)
2-3 walls
no infill needed
no supports needed

I cutted holes in the back panel for cables (you can see it on one photo)

I connected the wires directly to PSU, in the place where my 24V to 5V adapter is connected

---

Update 07 VIII 2023
New diffused version with 0.8mm of diffusser  instead of 0.4mm
You can lower the model by 0.4mm if you want less diffused light

Update 10 VII 2024
Added NO_SWITCH versions - models were remade almost from scratch so it differs from version with a switch (mostly a cleaner mesh) but will work the same

Update 15 VII 2024
Shortened all of the models to fit 120mm bed (I realy don't know why they were slightly longer)
