Snap on shroud for nema23 stepper motors that can hold a gx16 connector.
Makes it easy to wire stepper motors, in my case for a cnc router by adapting the 4 wires from a nema23 stepper to a single cable. The 4 wires are cut to length (~10cm) and soldered to the connector.
Assembly:
- Make sure the connector fits through the hole on the printed part (some filing might be necessary)
- Put the nut for the connector and heat shrink tubes over the stepper wires
- Pull the wires through the hole on the printed part and cut them to length
- Solder the wires to the connector
- Fasten heatshrink over soldering contacts
- Secure the connector with the nut
- Stow the remaining cable in the connector box
- Push part onto the stepper
Print settings:
- Layer height: 0.3mm
- Infill 15%
Supports should be printed within the “cable-box” where the connector sits.
Support settings:
- Style: snug
- Pattern spacing: 3mm
- XY spearation: 1.5mm
