This is a compact, neat, and fully Prusa style hotend for the Ender 3. Works best with a linear rail, and a Printermods direct drive plate. This should also work on the X-change system, and standard V wheel carriage.
Changes from the previous version include: a new fan mount, fewer supports needed for printing, reworked cable management, and support for the Prusa PINDA probe.
Choosing the right parts to print:
MDD plate w/ linear rails:
Print out the "Prusa style hotend - A.stl" if you have a PINDA probe.
Print out the "Prusa Style hotend - B.stl" if you have a BL touch.
Both require the "fan duct - Universal.stl" or "fan-duct-high-temp"
For Standard ender 3 carriage or MDD plate with rollers:
Print the "back plate standard carriage"
Print the proper front plate: PINDA variant for PINDA, BL touch variant for BL touch.
Print a fan duct - both work
Print the universal fan mount
Should I select Fan duct high temp or Fan duct - universal?
The high temp duct is optimized for a hotend without a silicone sock, or the copperhead hot block, and reduces maximum cooling but decreases airflow around hotblock aiming it further down.
The universal duct is for hotends with a silicone sock.
