1.) IKEA 365+ Food container, rectangular/glass, 1.0 l - IKEA Austria
2.) Food grade silicone for molds. e.g. Wagner sil 26 LE Premium Silicone Rubber Duplicating Silicone Food Grade 1 kg : Amazon.de: Home & Kitchen
3.) Glass sheet 150 x 210 x 4 mm with rounded corners out of microwave save glass. e.g. Borosilicate glass or tempered glass. Float glass may shatter due to high temperature in microwave unfortunately. Do not cut tempered glass by yourself if you don't know how to do it. I bought mine for around 66€ out of borosilicate glass at https://www.glas24.shop/ which was the only shop in Vienna I found where you can buy custom glass pieces with rounded corners which are that small. I attached a PDF with dimensions.
4.) 3D printed 6x “Clamp” with 6x “Clips for Clamps" and 1x “Clamp Lid”. optionally you can print 2x “Alignment helper” if you have trouble aligning all the layers. You also need to print 1x “Mold”. It's about 10% smaller to get a better seal.
Take the “mold” part and fill it with silicone and let it dry.
Glue “Clips for Clamps” into their designated spots and press “Clamps” into them.
Optional, glue “Alignment helper” into each side.
Place your silicone gasket on the IKEA 365+ food container. Placing the top 2 corners first and the bottom afterwards helps.
Make sure gasket sits properly on the food container.
Place glass sheet on top.
Place "Clamp Lid" on glass sheet.
Press down on all 6 clamps. Doing this diagonally makes it easier.
Open all 6 clamps and remove "Clamp Lid".
Pull on corner of silicone gasket if you are not able to remove the glass.
Remove silicone gasket.
Place glass back on the Food Container to avoid food residue in microwave.
Place in microwave and press start, alternatively oven works as well.
I took inspiration from mason jars by "Weck". I like how they can be reused basically indefinitely by replacing their clamps and gaskets from now and then. Searching for food containers on their website, I only found round “gourmet” glasses with a maximum of 450 mL. So, I was wondering why there are no rectangular food storage containers with a glass lid, metal clamps and a removable gasket. After a long internet search, I couldn't find any manufacturer which sold such a food container, so I decided to try to make on myself.
You can use standard “Weck” metal clamps, but it takes a while to put 12 of them on.
Don't try to 3D print the gasket. I have tried with 95A TPU and one more flexible filament, but both didn't seal properly. Also don't be as stupid as me and try to fill the mold with silicone sealant it barely works and is just a big mess.
With my cast silicone gasket, I achieved zero leaks with ¾ L of water stored on its side.
“Clips for Clamps” is an extra part because I am still not perfectly satisfied with their shape, and it also makes you able to print them at 90° rotation for more strength.
See pictures below for different prototypes and test:

After all I am happy how this project turned out. Yes, … I am aware that you can by around 20 IKEA's plastic lids for the price of one of this project, but either lid works and fulfills it's purpose. Also, getting access to cheap glass tremendously brings down to cost of this project.
Either way, I hope you have success with my design und feel free the remix if you like.
