Sovol SV04 - Micro Swiss NG Mounting Bracket

These are mounting brackets for mounting Micro Swiss NG extruders onto a Sovol SV04.

Materials needed Left Extruder: five M3 heat inserts, three original M4 screws used to mount the original extruder, and two M3 25mm screws (use the ones from the original fan). When assembling, remove the two screws from the top and bottom right of the carriage bracket. Then attach the conversion bracket to the carriage using the screws mentioned above. Be sure to route the CR-Touch cable through the trench. Attach the Extruder to the conversion bracket. Lastly, attach the fan duct. The original part cooling fan will not fit in the fan duct supplied with the NG. I recommend replacing the fan shroud with the one linked below. If you use a conversion duct to use the original fan duct, the part cooling fan being mounted on the right-hand side of the print head could cause collisions with the second print while printing in mirror mode.

Materials needed Right Extruder: five M3 heat inserts, four original M4 screws used to mount the original extruder. Attach the bracket using the four M4 screws. Attach the Micro Swiss NG extruder using the supplied M3 screws.

I printed this in PLA with 0.25mm layer height and 25% infill.

No supports required

The trench on the back side of the bracket is to route the CR-Touch cable through.
