RETRO ALERT!!

What is an 8 track tape???   IT Was a wonderful magnetic cartridge with a single spool of tape that was an endless loop. I could have about 80 minutes of music, (It would go kerchunk every 20 minutes to switch tracks as total length of tape was only that long).

Fantastic until it was played alot as the tape would tighten or the roller (or the capstan) would get gummy… the tape would get caught up… and when you pulled out the cartridge…well out came the tape too…Nooooooooo…. rumpled, stretched and ruined. and if you spliced it (trying to fix it.  Four different tracks were also fouled up.  Yeah, good thing they went the way of the dinosaur. 

Recreate the experience of an 8 track tape after extraction from a tape player when the machine ate it with this tape dispenser.
