Wall mounted birdhouse key holder

A nice decorative key holder. The birdhouse design is my own, the keychain is based on the beautiful bird model by Nikola.

The house is printed in two parts: the “nest” and the “roof”. 

The nest is best printed upright. Use supports for the arch overhang in the middle, or make sure you have the cooling for it (my print in the pictures was printed without supports on a Sovol SV06 modified with a 5015 part cooling fan).

The roof comes out nicely when printed with the V-shape facing the print bed. I do recommend brims for stability. The roof comes with small nubs on the underside to make it easier to position it correctly against the nest. I used regular household superglue to attach the roof to the nest.

Mounting the birdhouse can be done either with screws (use the model with screw holes), or my preferred method of using self-adhesive wall mount strips (model without screw holes).

Finally, the bird prints best on its side and with some supports on the beak and where the tail arches.
