The latest addition to my printer fleet is the Sovol SV05.  While I absolutely love this printer there are a few things about it that trigger my OCPD “Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder”, one of which is that Sovol used their fat stencil font which appears in their company logo on the top front extrusion, and a massively different “Serif” font on the display face/bracket.

While I'm not 100% certain I'll be using JOGIAREA's design indefinitely, I will at the very least have a moment of calm currently when I look at my new printer and see that the lettering is uniform.  :)

In any case, I really like JOGIAREA's design.  I know it was intended for the Ender 5, but I believe it might be an even better fit to the SV05 as the Sovol machine comes with an obnoxiously long display cable from the factory.  JOGIAREA's model is currently printing, but I'll be back to post photo's once I've installed his parts.

Thanks again JOGIAREA for another fantastic design!

P.S. “Printables.com” would not let me publish this remix without uploading at least a single photo.  I just took a quick snapshot of the face as it's printing so I may post.  Please ignore the photo.  I'll be back to post real photo's when it's installed.

UPDATE 07022023:  Well, I installed this remix of JOGIAREA's model on my SV05 and I think that if I decide to stick with this design to house my display I'll have to make a few subtle changes.  While this case looks fantastic, there are two issues I'm having with it on my SV05.

  1.  I've installed MicroSD to SD adapters/extensions on all my printers that use MicroSD cards for printing, including the SV05.  The opening at the bottom of this model doesn't stretch far enough left to plug the ribbon cable from the adapter into the main board if I install the housing against the right side pillar as is intended by the original design.  To connect the cable to the board, I had to move the display assembly ¾", or 19 mm to the left.  The end result is that I'm only able to secure the assembly to the bottom V-slot channel with 1 screw.
  2. The back of the display case has no official cut-away for the display cable to run through.  There's enough play between the display back and face to slide the cable between before securing the back and that's fine for now, I just think there should be a designated opening along the bottom edge.  Looking at the photo's of JOGIAREA's original model, it appears have a small opening on the bottom left “as viewed from the back” corner.  I can't tell if his opening has been filed, or perhaps that opening exists on the labeled version of his display back.  I haven't looked yet at the labeled version to see if that exists.

Overall, the model looks fantastic.  I'll probably make a few changes so this model will work better with my specific setup because it really does look great.
