This is a low profile tilting stand for the inexpensive transistor tester, generally referred to as LCR-T4, M-Tester, Mega328, and perhaps a few other names.
This stand is designed to work with the most popular acrylic cases for this particular model tester. This is an add-on piece, rather than a replacement part. It attaches using the mounting hardware that fastens the PCB to the bottom of the acrylic case.
Differences in the two most popular acrylic case styles for this device, whether it's an 8 hole or a six hole should not the affect compatibility with my stand as it uses the through hole screws for the PCB which is standard, rather than the screws holding the case together. My case is the older style with 8 screws.
A critical necessity for this stand to work with a M-Tester case is that it has the 30mm gap between the bottom edge of the PCB and the case. So long as your case leaves space for a 9 volt battery beneath the bottom edge of the PCB, and the PCB attaches to the back piece of acrylic with 4 screws, this stand should work.
Look at the attached photos to ensure your tester is the same form factor and that your case is similar enough to work before printing. Disregard the banana jacks in the photos as they are not part of the original tester or case. The 9 volt battery holder on my unit was also changed from the clip type connector, but I believe the testers are now sold with both configurations, which is of course irrelevant to this stand.
Simply put, if your board looks like mine, and your case is roughly the same, there is no reason this stand shouldn't work for you.
This design is quite similar to my GM328 tester stand design, but differs in that it doesn't replace the entire back of the case. I made the backing plate for the stand this way because the length of the mounting hardware for the board in my case supported it, and to greatly reduce printing times. I believe the backing for the stand took about an hour to print, and the stand itself 1/2 hour, or there abouts...
As with the GM328 and similar testers, I recommend that if you have a case-less bare tester that you look on Thingiverse for complete case designs before purchasing an acrylic case. There are some really nice fully printable case designs here. My stand is for a case I had purchased long before I had a 3D printer, and I have made modifications to best suit my needs. This is an improvement for an existing case purchase.
I hope somebody finds this useful.
You may or may not have noticed that I keep recycling the stand I made for the crummy Velleman DVM850BL meter. I have repurposed it here, on my GM328 Tester case mod, and even for the free Harbor Freight multimeter. That's not a bad run... A single design that has for 4 completely independent devices. Obviously I'm lazy, or believe strongly in recycling. :)
Please use whatever I put out there to best suit your needs. If you find other unique uses for anything I do, I'd love to hear about it.
