This design is based on a remix by Whity called “Rugged Box (Parametric)” which can be found here

I made this remix to fit metal business card blanks that I use for laser engraving. The blanks measure 86mm (3.38") long x 54mm (2.12") wide. To give you an idea of the capacity of the case, mine is currently holding 110 colored aluminum blanks with a thickness of .25mm (.01"), 30 stainless steel blanks with a thickness of .8mm (.03") and 13 dividers that are approximately .8mm (.03") thick. The case is about 90% full.

The total overall inside dimensions are 120mm (4.72") Wide x 88mm (3.46") Deep x 61.5mm (2.42") Tall. I made the depth 88mm so there was a somewhat tight fit to prevent the cards from moving around a lot and scuffing up the surface coating. I believe regular paper business cards are the same size as these metal ones, so you might be able to use this case to store them as well. Although, they normally have squared off corners, so the lid of the box might not fit down over them to be able to close.

I printed some dividers to go in between the different colored cards. They can be found here. I removed the letters from them and printed them with no top and bottom layers to allow me to see the colors of the cards behind them.

I added text to the lid using Bambu Studio before printing all parts on my X1C. I will include versions of the lid both with and without the text. It might be hard to see the text in the slicer, but you should be able to paint it in Bambu Studio or Prusaslicer with little issue. The paint fill tool worked well for me.

The original model had a seal for under the lid which I will include in the files. I didn't print one because it was not needed. If you print one, they recommend printing it in TPU. Although, it won't make your case water tight.

Hardware needed for assembly:

  • (6) 3mm x 30mm socket head cap screws

Print settings:

I printed mine with a .4mm nozzle at .2mm layer height. I used 5 perimeters, 3 top and bottom layers and 20% gyroid infill. I would recommend a brim around the 2 latches so they don't detach from the build plate. I would also recommend printing the 2 latches separate from the case itself if using a different color for them. It will save a lot of time and material on far less filament swaps. The filament I used was Zyltech Purple PETG and Prusament Yellow Gold PETG.
