This socket holder works with almost any socket that has a maximum height of 41 mm. The width of the socket strip can vary between 50 and 70 mm. The clamp is adjustable between this range. The mounting clamps fit on a table top or similar up to 22 mm thick.

For best printing results, a layer thickness of 0.1 mm is recommended. It is also possible to print with a layer thickness of 0.2 mm, but then the threads will not fit as well. The new organic supports are the best choice for the necessary support printing. It is also good to print the objects with the thread facing upwards. As soon as the support structures start in the thread, it is almost no longer possible to use them.

To assemble everything, please follow these steps:

  1. Remove all support structures and clean the model.
  2. Next, depending on how easy it is to screw the printed threads together, you should straighten the threads with normal metal screws. All threads are M7
  3. Now you can turn the threaded rods into the claws so that they only protrude from the square receptacles for the adjusting wheel. Threaded rod 1 is for claw 1 and threaded rod 2 is for claw 2. The receptacles should now point inwards.
  4. Now apply glue to the square receptacle.
  5. Then push both claws into the main body so that the square receptacles of the wheel fit perfectly into the wheel and glue themselves to it.
  6. It is important to take care that no excess glue sticks to the other parts.
  7. Finally, you can screw in the fixing screws and attach it to an object of your choice.
