voron 2.4 wrap around Z belt holder

What is this

For Voron2.4, Z belt holder. 

Why made this

in Voron 2.4 original design, it uses a flat plastic to hold down the Z belt. But in my opinion this is not the best way to hold a belt, service life could be shorten significantly.

problem 1  only about 18mm of belt is locked…once the inner fibre is ripped of from the belt body/teech(they are attached together by glue??), the belt is broken.

problem 2 may need to cut the excessive belt. but when building or adjusting the machine, if we cut the belt too short by mistake, the whole belt is ruined and wasted.

So I made this wrap around belt holder to solve both problems.

Any good?

1 I believe using wrap around way to hold and lock the belt is the ideal way. the Z belt is interlocked together, the locked distance is slightly longer, but the fibre is not likely be ripped off from the belt body

2 now can easily keep the excessive belt, no need to cut short, just clamp it and keep it.

some people use voron original front idler. (M5 screw and M5 screw to hold down the Z belt)

some people use voron front idler mod, ( M3 screw and M5 screw to hold down the Z belt)

This mod provides both versions of belt holders to support both.

Hardware needed:

M4 socket head screw 20mm   X 4.   

The belt wraps around this screw. also the socket head provides extra support. button head head screw is Not good.

M4 nylon nut X 4 .

using nylon lock nut, so the screw won't easily get loose.

  the bottom has a round cut out to fit the front idler mod body.

 can use a small nylon zip tie to hold the cable

use this to better hold the cable and not rubbing the linear rail

Assembly

Remove the original belt upper holder X4 from Z belt , one by one, obviously don't remove them all together, the Z will fall down bad
