I produced this ( some time ago hence the rough prints ) initially using Petg & have found it sufficient enough to handle the job but a harder/ stronger plastic could be a wise choice.
Having recently renovated the house & getting fed up with the dust I thought I'd connect the sander up too the hoover, but the connection was too rigid & wouldn't allow me to have the freedom with moving the sander around that I needed hence I made this contraption.
You may find that the tolerances are a bit tight ( but a bit of sand paper or wet & dry will sort it out) & if its to slack you could always add some O-rings to the “universal joint axle”.
I had this hooked upto a Dewalt orbital sander & a Henry hoover & found it worked really well, the tapered joints enable you connect a wide range of tool sizes ( but never needed to try it with anything else).
