About this model:
I needed something that's light weight, has a small foot print, has at least 50mm depth and have various size inserts to assist me in organizing my randomly purchased screws, nuts, washers, threaded inserts, etc. for my printers.

I have limited space available on my desk so it is not that large. You will see that it is only stackable as a tower and not to the sides (due to my limited space)

Models:

  • Stackable case - I have not tested the stacking yet, I'm waiting for my new filament to arrive. I have updated the 3mf and STEP files, there is now a 0.1mm gap between the edges and I also added stops that the case cannot be pushed too far back.
  • Plain non stackable one
  • Added a tolerance model to check your tolerance for the slides

Variations:

There are multiple variations to make use of the tray and inserts, the possibilities are endless and up to you to decide.

I've modelled 4 different types of inserts:

  • 50 x 50 - 6 can fit in a tray
  • 50 x 100 - 3 can fit in a tray
  • 100 x 50 - 2 can fit in a tray
  • 100 x 100 - 1 can fit in a tray

Play around with the layouts to suit your needs. You can also just make use of the tray by itself for larger objects. Alternatively, you are welcome to adapt the design to suit your needs as I am including all the STEP files of all the models.
