Gate Motor Pinion & Rack

I needed a replacement pinion gear for my driveway gate motor and was unable to get at the time, so decided to make my own. It turns out that there other issues requiring that I buy a whole new motor which included a new pinion gear. That said, I'm going to fit my printed version. I finally managed to model it in Sketchup 2017 making some improvements to make it a bit stronger. I'd suggest printing with thicker sidewalls and possibly even 100% infill. I hope it is of use to someone.

I printed the gear in PETG using a layer height of 0.28mm using a wall thickness of 4mm and an infill at 80%. While it's a rough print, it doesn't need to be pretty and has turned out to be quite hefty. I have fitted it to the gate motor and it works. I'll update the comments if there are any performance issues. The Internal Diameter of the gear is 24mm

I've added the rack. It's modular with each segment being 250mm long.
