The original!
Clackety-clack! Make some noise with this snappy, noisy skull! In-built hinged jaw is connected to a lever inside the back. Pull it back with a finger and get chomping! There's a short video of this in action on my Instagram feed - @clockspring3d
Happy halloween! Or Christmas, Easter, Thursday, Birthday, or whatever you happen to use this to celebrate :D
Guess who has eyeballs!
Look at that hopeful, optimistic expression! That's right, wonderful people, our faithful annoying clacky skull now has cartoony eyeballs! Bring new, er, life, to your day with this sunny fellow!
So, what's changed from the original? Well, the eye sockets now have a threaded post for eyeball attachment, but is otherwise the same as always - still print-in-place, support-free and noisy :)
The eyeball itself screws onto into the eye socket, and the threaded pupil screws into that. And ta-da! A skull with eyeballs! Because, why not? :P
(there are also adaptors to add eyeballs to the original skull model)
Printing Tips
All the usual advice is applicable here - watch out for that bottom layer neatness, and be careful of anything like stringing or overextrusion that might bind moving parts together.
The parts print with the following orientation:
Further Thoughts
Oh, this whole cartoon eye idea was actually sparked by a request for some inserts that could make the eyes and nose of the original chompy skull a bit more pronounced! So, I did up those, too.
You'll notice on each piece there's a small circle on one side - that's the side that faces inwards, and you'll want to stick the pieces in place.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
