I got tired of the spool unwinding whenever the gantry moved to the top for homing, and having to wind it manually to stop the filament from despooling down the side.
I created this filament guide to make sure it doesn't happen - so far it's working very successfully, and I'm not 100% sure yet if I need to add a pin for the spool yet to keep it perpendicular to the guide.
(That was my original plan, but the guide seems to work perfectly as is)
It should fit the A250 if I'm not mistaken - would appreciate it if someone in the community could print and test one please.
Update: 2020-04-29
One of the community members printed and confirmed that it fits the A250 as well - see the "makes" section if necessary.
Printer:
Snapmaker2 A350
Rafts:
No
Supports:
No
Resolution:
Normal
Infill:
15%
Filament:
Wanhao PLASilver
Notes:
Printed with heatbed disabled, but I did add a 5x border brim to help hold it down in the beginning. If you really trust your bed adhesion, I don't think it's necessary...
Takes about 4 hours to print - Normal resolution seems to be sturdy enough...I'm not even going to bother reprinting mine on high resolution later.Attaching/Using the guide:
Attach it with 4x M4 screws next to the spool holder, thread the filament through the horizontal slit at the top, and down into the printer.
