Ender-3 Max Blower cover to replace original/broken blower/fan cover.
Designed to replace the original.
This print is very delicate due to it needing to be so thin to fit -- it is easy to break and warp.
I also printed this with and without support. Without support makes the screw areas a bit messy; however, being so thin it is very hard to remove the supports without breaking the piece. The pictured thing was printed with support with SuperSlicer 2.4.
Optional I have also included design and STL for a "Gluedown" option. I have not used this, but think some people may prefer it.
Design notes:
I went with a slightly different design as the original used small plastic inserts to pressure-fit the cover on. I couldn't get the tolerances set well with my printer and it either didn't fit or didn't hold on securely. So I setup small drop-downs and bits to hold on with the screws -- but it's a very tight fit.
Wait for the print to fully cool down. Being so thin, it's easy to warp when removing from the bed if it is still warm.
(optional) remove supports carefully so you dont break the piece.
Fit to the original fan (and try not to break the wires like I did)
Use a knife end to enlarge the holes slightly on the printed thing.
Screw back into place
Used FreeCAD, a ruler and some time.
