This project is for those of you who own a Starlink rectangular dish and are brave enough to cut that dish up to remove the directional servo and stem. Why would you want to do this? I do a lot of RV camping with our 18ft trailer and we purchased Starlink to stay connected and work while we are traveling. When you have the ‘stock’ Starlink dish and setup, it will always rotate to point North (for our location anyway). You can read online why Starlink does this. This is annoying when our campsite does not offer a clear line of sight North. We wanted the flexibility to align our dish to wherever we had a clear line of sight to open sky and this option gives us that flexibility. In addition to this project we also converted our Starlink equipment to run completely on 12 volts, but that is not being covered here 🙂.


PRINTING

IMPORTANT NOTE: These parts are all designed to be printed on a 300mm X 300mm bed!

These parts can be printed with a .4mm nozzle, however, I printed with a .6mm nozzle, still good quality and much faster! 

.6mm nozzle, layer height of .28mm, 20% infill, and, definitely in PETG, ABS or ASA due to its constant exposure to the outdoor elements. PLA will not do it!
