This design is a bit crude because I only cared about functionality so feel free to remix it if you want to make it better. I posted this in case someone has the same problem, and this might save them a bit of trouble.
I didn't originally make this with a hole for the controller's actual straps so I just removed mine (simply remove the battery cover and pull it out). But, I did add a hole after the fact and I included the .step file for it, however I haven't tested it, so print that one at your own risk.
This strap mod keeps my hand back enough for my fingers to reach the buttons without wrapping around them. It also keeps my wrist at a comfortable angle while aiming the controller, which I couldn’t achieve without this strap.
This is not meant for most people, which is why I had to make it myself. Only try this if other straps don’t work for you and you think this one might.
I used two 8" straps per controller from this kit on amazon. The hole is 18.8mm x 2mm so any strap that fits that should work.
This fits the controller very tight so care must be taken when putting it on. Definitely don’t use the sensor bar to push against…
Mirror the part in your slicer (should be over the x axis) to get the left version of it.
This does not require supports to print.

This design is an extruded skin (with a 1.2mm gap) of the handle on the quest 2 controller with a base and strap added. Very simple and crude, but effective for me.
I've included both the .stl and .step file for it.
