This was obviously inspired by the Walls video clip from Louis Tomlinson.

It's the design of a dartboard that spins and always (or that's the idea) stops with the silhouette of our protagonist in the correct vertical position.

I have printed all the files face down on a glass bed, this way it has a glossy finish.

For printing the dartboard there are 3 options:

  1. Print Black, White, Red, BackBolt separately and glue everything.
  2. Print Black, White and Red like in the video (linked below this) and then separately print BackBolt and glue these two prints. Use z-hop 0.7mm (Black, White and Red height are 0.6 mm) to make sure that the extruder doesn't bump on any previous print and also enable z-hop when retraction.
  3. Print White, Red and BlackBackBolt like in the video with 0.7 mm z-hop and enabled z-hop when retraction also.

Nut fitting problems: if you have any problems try to scale down or up the model a little to try to make the best fit with the calibration and resolution of your 3D printer.

Notes:

  • Base: For stability try to print with the maximum infill. If 100% takes too much time or filament I think 50% would be enough, maybe a little less. Layer height 0.2mm it's perfect.
  • Support: this part supports all the dartboard weight so around 25% infill will be enough. Layer height also 0.2 mm.
  • Weight: 100% infill and layer height doesn't matter I did it with 0.2mm.
  • Nut(x2): 10% infill and 0.12mm layer height. This nut isn't flat, I added an angle on one side so when it's screwed will be flat to the support piece, this helps that when the dartboard is spinning it doesn't wobble as much. I printed 2 nuts so one goes before the Support piece to give the dartboard space to spin, I glued that nut to make sure that the Bolt will not come out of the back.
  • Nut End: Same as the nut.
  • Red/White/Black: infill doesn't matter it will be 100% because it's only 0.6mm. Layer height at 0.2 mm for everything. I used Concentric in the Bottom Pattern Initial Layer.
  • BlackBackBolt/BackBolt: infill at 15%. Layer height also at 0.2 mm. Use also Concentric in the Bottom Pattern Initial Layer.
  • LTsilhouette: I did 100% infill because my glow in the dark filament was a little translucid and I didn't want to see the grid of the infill, but if it's not your case 5% or 10%. Also 0.2mm layer height.
