Introducing CLAMPOT (Clamp+Pot),
A (mostly) print-in-place vase designed to clamp onto that small gap between your books and bookshelves. can also be used as a small pencilcase/toolbox.
There is also a long version for anyone who finds all that extra support material wasteful (hey, that's me!)
INSTRUCTIONS
- add support only under the bottom side of the vase body, using paint-on support (smart fill tool, with ‘only on overhangs’ mode). you dont need these for the long version.
- after printing, remove the print and firmly hold the two wider, triangular sides of the upper body.
- with your other hand, grab the knob and TWIST.
- the upper body should separate with a satisfactory crunch, just like opening a plastic bottle.
- if the upper body is printed too tight and wont come off, grab your scraper and gently tap the seam with a hammer until it separates.
- fill it halfway with tap water and clamp it on your shelf. do NOT loosen the knob till the end, there is an ‘endstop’ to prevent it from twisting off and you might break the rail.
P.S - I recommend using watertight materials such as PETG, although my PLA one is holding nicely for over a month now (I used KEXCELLED matte PLA, Mustard green/Chelsea red)
the model slightly differs from the picture, because I added firmer jaws for the upper body due to it slightly sagging overtime
I guess you could say…. it is specifically designed to 'hold on to yourSHELVES' (I'm terribly sorry)
