Just got bored with only having my DIY magnetic backplate installed, so I decided to make all panels magnetic and as a result of this, I had to design also new hinges.
The design is more or less “Voron", fits quite well on my Voron0.2ish printer.
For assembly, you'll need the following:
You don't need any extra nuts and bolts, since you can use them from the original panels. I labeled the files as following, that you know where to screw on the frame or put it on the panel:
| f | front |
| b | back |
| r | right |
| s | (both) sides |
When you are on the specific side from the front perspective:
| TR | top right |
| TL | top left |
| BR | bottom right |
| BL | bottom left |
The files with “Frame” in the name are screwed on the frame, the ones with “Panelclip” going onto the panel with some double sided tape.
The hole fittings of the magnets are bit larger (6.2mm) than the magnets itself, because not every of my “6mm” magnets are really the same size, so sometimes they are kinda loose that you need some superglue. Others were hard to put in, so I decided to go the middle way, so keep in mind, that you'll probably need some superglue.
I made versions for 2.5mm and 3mm thick panels, if you have another size you can edit it yourself by using the included .step-file.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to use the comments.
Have a nice day.
