AEG/Ridgid Cordless Tool Holders

This is a combination of my own creations and originals so I could store batteries, Tool heads and charger on the ceiling above my bench.  They will also work on the wall.

Allows for storage with or without batteries attached, spare batteries and a low profile version if tool doesn't have belt clip or you remove them.

Did my usual proof prints with just 2 perimeters, 4 top/bottom and 4.5% infill.  On theory that something might need to be changed anyway and they will show up any weaknesses.  They are holding up well so far even with the heavy heavy duty impact driver.  

The hanger version needs to be printed so the layers are oriented to the hoop.  It will print without support but base is very small and unless adhesion is very good some support recommended.  The hoop has some flex and thickening where loaded to help with robustness.  Time will tell if modifications needed.

Printing

For longer life I'd print them with 3 perimeters and 6 top/btm with maybe 10% infill.  I've used PLA.  PETG, ASA, ABS might have a longer life.

Update Apr'25:

• Added a Hoop for 5Ah Battery
• Still no issues just using PLA.  Added another couple of tools, batteries and another charger.

Update Apr'24:

It's been nearly a year and there have been no issues and like good utilities you just don't think about them.  Did add a Wiper Snipper to collection with two large 6 Ahr batteries. They won't fit in the hoops but work with everything else.  That's ok as I use the hoops for the frequent use handhelds and prefer the lighter batteries for them.  Only other change is I removed belt clip from the HDuty impact drill as I'd never hang that monster from my hip.

I think the stars were aligned to get away with printing the hoops without support.  Recommend using supports below the hoop to give a wider more stable base to the print, refer photo.
