The hinged transformation is really interesting. Using 3D printing to recreate the process is super intuitive.
I created this model with the idea that all the hinges should be print-in-place.
The hinge might need a bit force to break free in the beginning, depending on your printer. Be gentle on the one that is connected to the sharp angle of the triangle.
The “opened” hinge has a very small adhering area. Be sure the clean the plate or use something to increase bed adhesion so you will not lose the small clip part.
Important: it is recommended to print the model with 125% if you are not confident in your printer clearance. Larger scale will also work.
