I wanted to get rid of the original spool holder, so I can have the whole printer with spool inside of a smaller enclosure. You insert the roll from below and remove it by lifting it. In the picture you see the highest position on the z-brace without interfering with the X-axis gantry. It would still interfere with the print head, if you are using the full235x235 build plate, but not the official 220x220.
Does require 4 M6 socket head screws. You have to tap the threads yourself. PETG works well. Has to be printed twice and one copy needs to be mirrored.

You will need some spoolholder/filament guide. Filament should exit in the back of the spool.
