Designed in Fusion 360, sliced in PS 2.5.2

3 main parts to print out here. Easy Arms and Leafs print out with minimal supports.  The “base” consisting of an inner and outer wheel. Yes, this one prints in place so be sure you have a well tuned printer and dry filament. It was a bit tight once it came off, but it will move easier with a bit of spinning it around prior to build up.

Steps:

  1. Print all 3MF files out at scale.
  2. Gently file wheel pins and arm holes.
  3. Do the same for the arm/leaf joint. No filing for leaf pin and slot necessary.
  4. Assemble Arm & Leaf x6
  5. Place leaf in in slot and gently seat arm on wheel. x6
  6. Gloat in your success.

As you set more pairs, the leafs will line up. I found that adding a bit of dry graphite on the inner faces of the leafs keep them from binding up and allow them to better slide.

All pins & holes are printed at the same size. A light bit of filing them down will give you the best fit.

Filaments (all PLA):

Base: Prusament; Gentelmans Grey

Arms: Gold Silk I found on Amazon a long time ago

Leafs: Prusament; Galaxy Black
