There are plenty of risers out there that mount to the printer itself, and usually employ magnets to hold them in place. I wanted something that attached to the glass, so I designed these clips. They give you about a .25" gap all around the cover. The temperature rise with these clips is on par with removing the lid completely (I observed about 3-4C rise with no lid, about 3-5C using the clips - YMMV). PLA works fine, and no supports are required. The .3mf file includes 6 clips which is what I recommend to support the cover/AMS adequately and to keep the cover from moving around in either direction.
