Wet Sharpener Stone Truing Jig

Mine is one of these MAXIMUM sharpeners from Canadian Tire.  There are similar sharpeners from many other brands (Grizzly, Craftex, King Canada), they probably all come out of the same Chinese factory.  But Tormek is the Cadillac in this category.

The jig should work on any sharpener with the standard 12mm-diameter support.

For the cutting tool, I used the tip from an inexpensive diamond wheel dresser.

Materials:

• Inexpensive diamond wheel dresser

  • Contains an M6 nut, which is reused
• Two M6x45 bolts
• Two M6 nuts
• M6x15 socket-head cap screw
• Two Printed M6 knobs
  • There are a million designs out there; I used these: Knob for M6 Nut by Cees Meijer

Assembly

Assembly uses dovetails, pinned together using a spin-welding technique using bits of filament.  You'll need a Dremel tool or something similar.
