I have a french door style LG refrigerator (specifically model LFXS26973D /01), the left hand door has a mechanism that runs the height of the door to keep it closed, the right-hand door, however, only has a small plastic clip at the bottom that keeps it closed. This part is prone to breaking and cost me $17.11 ($9.54 for the part itself + $5.98 shipping + $1.59 tax) to replace. My son helped me prototype this replacement piece. You'll need to use a more resilient material than PLA for this piece. So far I've only tried printing in PETG and haven't fitted to my fridge yet. Will update after a test fit.
I printed this standing upright on the long edge with the hook end pointing up. I went a little crazy with supports the first couple of attempts to make sure it printed correctly. Depending on your machine and the print orientation you could probably get away with no supports. I also opted for extra perimeters over infill.
UPDATE: The model is slightly oversized compared to the OEM part. You may need to scale your print down by ~2-3%.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
